At Norbreck Primary Academy, we believe homework should be simple, purposeful and effective. Our homework focuses on three key areas: daily reading, spellings and Fast Maths Facts.

Regular practice of these essential skills helps children build confidence and develop strong foundations for future learning. By revisiting key knowledge little and often, children can remember it more easily and apply it successfully in the classroom.

These are facts that children need to secure during their primary years. They include facts such as number bonds and times tables. They are particularly useful when calculating, adding, subtracting, multiplying and dividing but also underpin many other areas of mathematics.
