6O - Mr Oakes
Reading
Please ensure your child reads for at least 30 minutes each day. This should be in addition to the independent reading time children are given in school. Remember to record this in your reading journals.
We are continuing with the Accelerated Reading scheme and children are able to quiz once a book has been completed in order to check their understanding.
Read Theory
Log on to Read Theory for at least ten minutes each week to support comprehension.
Spelling Shed
Log on to Spelling Shed for a minimum of ten minutes each week.
SPAG
All children have login details for any SPAG homework, including practice SATs papers.
Maths
All children have login details for Times Tables Rockstars. Please encourage children to complete at least ten minutes of activities to aid fluency in mathematics.
MyMaths
Children have MyMaths login details for any additional Maths activities set.
CGP books are also really useful resources when revising for SATs.
PE Kits
For Term 1, Year 6 PE day is currently a Tuesday. We will be outside this half term doing Athletics. Children will need to bring kit into school on the PE day and then they will go home in kit. This is to ensure kit is then washed regularly. Please remember that jewellery is not to be worn on PE days unless ears have been recently pierced and long hair needs to be tied back.
